QUANTITATIVE PRECIPITATION FORECAST (QPF)
A forecast of rainfall, snowfall or liquid equivalent of snowfall.


QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT
A front which is nearly stationary or moves very little since the last synoptic position. Also known as a stationary front.
